Here's a much-needed reminder of summer days! This homemade body butter requires only three ingredients and has a nice Chantilly texture. You can personalize it with your favorite essential oils which makes it a great custom gift!

Whipped Raspberry Body Butter

Benefits of the ingredients used:

Shea Butter is highly moisturizing, softens skin and restores its elasticity, calms irritations, fades dark marks and scars. It also has exceptional anti-inflammatory properties and relieves joint pain. Raspberry Seed oil has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and regenerative properties. Studies show that it helps prevent rash, eczema and other skin lesions. Full of Phytosterols, raspberry seed oil retains moisture by decreasing the amount of water that is naturally lost by our skin through the day. This oil also reduces sun damage and acts as a natural sunscreen (UV-A and UV-B). Vitamin E is a natural antioxidant.

Ingredients & Instructions

Mash Shea butter using a mortar and pestle to make it soft and creamy. Incorporate the oils. Use a hand mixer to whip for 10 minutes until fluffy. Move to the fridge for 10-15 minutes to set. Transfer into an airtight container or a glass jar (I used a 12oz glass jar similar to this one). Your DIY whipped body butter is ready!

During the summer, keep the butter in your fridge to preserve the whipped texture.

Tip: Shea Butter contains Triterpene Butyrospermum, a fat that penetrates deep into the skin, as well as a considerable amount of Triterpene Acetate and Cinnamate Esters that have anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor properties. Used with essential oils for Rheumatoid Arthritis such as Eucalyptus, Frankincense, or Turmeric, Shea butter helps reduce joint inflammation and alleviate pain.
