Have you ever paid attention to the ingredients used by leading brands to produce baby wipes? Have you ever wondered how much waste we create while using these disposable products? Scroll down if you're looking for a 100% natural, safe, eco-friendly and affordable solution!

Benefits of the selected ingredients:

Almond oil is rich in Vitamins A, B2, B6, and E. It helps to keep baby's skin soft and protected from dryness. Aloe Vera Gel is a safe, natural remedy to relieve diaper rash or any mild skin irritation. It contains infection-fighting antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties (including vitamins B, C, and E). Lavender and German Chamomile essential oils help to relax and are beneficial for newborns who have trouble sleeping. These oils can also be used to alleviate the symptoms of baby colic. Tea tree oil has antimicrobial and anti-fungal properties. It is a natural solution to prevent (and heal) diaper rash and fungal infection.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup Distilled Water

  • 1/8 cup Almond oil (find it here: US / UK)

  • 1 tbsp pure Aloe Vera Gel (find it here: US / UK)

  • 1 tsp pure Castile Soap (find it here: US / UK)

  • 6 drops of safe(!) essential oil such as Lavender (any age), German Chamomile (any age) and Tea Tree (> 6 months old)

Utensils

  • Reusable Bamboo cloth baby wipes (find it here: US / UK)

  • A container (like this one: US / UK)

Instructions

Simply combine all the ingredients and use this homemade wipes solution with organic reusable baby wipes. If you don't use Tea Tree, I suggest you make one small batch at a time. Otherwise, two drops of Tea Tree essential oil work just fine to preserve the solution up to a couple of months.

Tip: I selected Almond Oil for this recipe as it can also be used separately for a soothing baby massage. Massaging before bedtime improves blood circulation and helps in the breathing process. A nice calming nightly routine! This technique also reduces the risks of indigestion and upset stomach.
