Share Article

Made with high end, yet affordable, ingredients, this homemade facial moisturizer feels wonderfully smooth and absorbs quickly into the skin. The oils selected for this cream clear up blackheads and small pimples while helping reduce dry patches, inflammation, redness, and fine lines.

Benefits of the ingredients used:

Coconut oil helps reduce inflammation, treat acne, keep skin moisturized and heal wounds.

Olive oil moisturizes skin, prevents wrinkles, improves skin elasticity, reduces marks and gives glowing skin.

Ho Wood oil supports healthy regeneration of skin cells, helps smooth fine lines and wrinkles, softens scar tissues and maintains the elasticity of the skin. It also has antiseptic and antibacterial properties.

Palmarosa oil is excellent in treating acne, scars, wounds, and tissue regeneration. It is also well-known for its moisturizing properties.

Frankincense Frereana oil promotes healthy skin, treats acne and fades acne scars, prevents premature aging, regulates oily skin, treats dry skin and soothes inflammation.

Vitamin E is a natural antioxidant.

Ingredients & Instructions

Melt Coconut oil using a double boiler. Add Olive oil. Let it cool for about five minutes, before incorporating the rest of the ingredients (the temperature should be lower than 98° F for essential oils). Transfer into an airtight container or a glass jar (I used this 4 oz amber glass jar) and let it cool down completely. Coconut oil melts at about 78° F, so at normal room temperature, it will be solid. Keep the cream in your fridge if your room temperature is higher than 78° F.

Apply regularly to keep your skin hydrated and healthy!

Beauty Tip: a variation of this cream for man’s skincare – replace Palmarosa with Sandalwood essential oil for a musky, woody fragrance.
