Benefits of the selected ingredients:
The organic soap base used for this recipe contains pure coconut oil and cocoa butter. Coconut oil stimulates hair growth, fights dandruff, prevents split ends, adds shine and softness to the hair. Cocoa butter reduces hair loss, provides moisture, and acts as a natural conditioner. This soap base also has a light smell of chocolate.
Wheat Germ Oil is a natural source of ceramides which help hair retain elasticity, strength and luster. It also contains vitamins A, B, D and E. This oil encourages circulation to the scalp, prevents split ends and reduces frizz.
Macadamia Nut Oil is a well-known hair treatment. It strengthens hair, prevents hair damage, heals split ends and provides excellent moisture.
Orange Oil provides high levels of vitamin C that protects and heals hair and scalp. It treats dry scalp, provides nutrition and stimulates hair growth.
Yang-Ylang Oil corrects sebum production and stimulates hair growth.

Instructions
- Cut your Melt & Pour Soap Base and let it melt gently using a double boiler.
- Remove from heat and add the oils.
- Pour the mixture into your soap mold. Pro Tip: Spray with rubbing alcohol to prevent air bubbles.
- Let cool for several hours, then gently remove your homemade solid shampoo from the mold before making the cuts bars. If you use the recommended 42 oz soap mold, you should get eight cut shampoo bars.
Beauty Tip for extra conditioning benefits and shine:
- After you are done shampooing, spray an acidic rinse such as Apple Cider Vinegar or lemon juice mixed with water all over your hair and leave it in. You can also add essential oils to your rinse mix. Don’t worry about the ACV smell, it dissipates as it dries, so you will only enjoy the scent of your favorite essential oils 🙂
- Note: I am using 1 tbsp ACV per cup of water to keep this rinse pH-balanced.
